NICO HOLDINGS SETS UP SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOUNDATION

As one way of giving back to the public for the support it fenders to the company, Nico Holdings Limited has established a social responsibility foundation whose proceeds will go to various areas deserving financial assistance in the country.

NHL corporate affairs manager Linda Poya Banda said on May 3 2011 in an interview the foundation is one of the initiatives the company has come up with to give the public as it is celebrating 40 years of operation in the country.

"Without the support from the public, NICO Holdings Limited would not have reached this stage. We owe our success to the public and this is why we decided to find of giving back to them in a bigger way," she said.

Banda said K20 million has been channeled towards the foundation.
